Oprah Winfrey is a remarkable, inspirational icon and an innate leader, a motivator and a philanthropist.
Oprah’s show was one of the highest rated shows in television history, till date Oprah is counted amongst one of the most prominent and influential women.
These challenges appear to be the reason for her success and shaped the person she is today, someone that countless people all over the world look up to.
Here is Oprah’s Inspiring Speech at the commencement ceremony at Harvard, to tell students her story:
There is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move us in another direction. Now, when you’re down there in the hole, it looks like failure. … Give yourself time to mourn what you think you may have lost, but then here’s the key:
Learn from every mistake because every experience, encounter and particularly your mistakes are there to teach you and force you into being more who you are.
And then figure out what is the next right move. And the key to life is to develop an internal moral, emotional GPS that can tell you which way to go.
Oprah expressed it perfectly in her inspiring speech. We all come across moments in our lives when we feel stuck in some ruts, then inexplicably we go past that rut.
One way or another, life is flawlessly in concord with where we are, if we are attentive, we can see that we all have a purpose.
It may not be to be rich and famous, but when we complete the mission, there is a sanctified completeness that engulfs our inner health.
We all need to remember through thick and thin that “We are not without reason”.
